trouble with cordless phone?
guys, i bought a vtech dect 6.0 CS 6219-2 phone from sears last week. But its only 1 week and i m having problems with the sound reception. I use magic jack for my land line.While I am on a call, the sound automatically drops very low and in few seconds come back to normal. i tried switching to speaker phone and same problem happens. So i can hardly hear the other side while im on call. Is it the fault of the phone or the magic jack. if the signal is weak, does it affect the sound. Even if i stand at the very next room from my magic jack connection, still the sound is affected. i dont know if the magic jack signal is weak or not, but anyways should i return the phone cuz i stiil have the 30 day period from sears.
does anyone has any problerm with this particular model???
i have a wired phone that doesnt have this problem whenever i used. magic jack is wired direclty to the phone without any wireless router or anything.
i have comcast 8 mb broadband internet connection.
it could be either the phone or the MJ…
vtech makes some pretty crappy phones…
and MJ relies on your internet connection and PC.. so any number of things can effect the quality from the MJ – internet speed, packet loss, jitter, the resources being consumed by your PC by other programs…
i would p/u the corded phone as soon as i heard the problem to determine if it is the vtech or the MJ causing the problem…. but i would still return the vtech and get a real phone like a panasonic…
