I am in the market for a decent cordless phone, preferably with speakerphone on the handset or base. ?
I don’t really have a preference on how many handsets, and I don’t need an answering machine.
What would you recommend for someone on a budget that still values quality?
I do not have a regular cell, only a prepaid, so this phone will receive a lot of use in the home. We live out in the country, and the last cordless I had would drop the call as soon as I went to the far end of the house (we have a small one level).
Thanks for your recommendations and experiences with this. I tend to buy on Amazon.com and eBay, but am getting conflicting reviews on the VTech and Panasonic models I have been researching.

With these phones only 1 goes into phone outlet, the other (s) goes into electrical wall outlet, any room.
PS- talk time on these phones is quite a lot, which means you can charge the battery a lot less.
If you don’t want sub par performance, stay away from MagicJack.
