I have a network printer, how can i connect it to the existing wireless network?
I have Sony Vaio laptops with wi-fi technology, Netgear wireless modem router DG834G and Dell 3000CN network printer.
I can connect the existing printer to the network through the router using Ethernet cable but I now want to go wireless (for printer), suggest the best possible option with necessary hardware purchase/upgrade if required.
i think you would need to buy a wireless card for your printer…. but not sure which printers offer this facility, you would need to check with the printer manufacuter to see if this was possible!!
we are wireless in the house but find because of where the printer sits it’s just as easy and cheaper to have it connected through the cable!!
