How to solve print quality of Canon iP2600 printer?

I just received my new Canon iP2600 today, installed it, and started to print some calibration images.

I first printed pictures using the default settings. The picture came out extremely washed-out and hazy, or light.

I did a printer head cleaning. I did a nozzle cleaning. There was no problem with the printer head/nozzle.

I printed the same image, and there was still that washed-out look to it. Nothing changed.

Then, I changed the preferences, raising the intensity and contrast and cyan/magenta/yellow levels, and I chose the vivid photo option. And I printed high quality as opposed to standard.

Still the exact same!

What is the matter with this printer? Has anyone been able to solve this problem? I don’t print a lot of pictures, but I would still like to have decent-quality pictures now and then. Please help!

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. I don’t print that many photos too.

This is what I did. I go to some online printers and print there. High quality. Saves time. Saves ink. Saves money. Most of them have free offers too – see link below.

Have fun.
