Access points and Canon PIXMA MP620?
I have been trying to install the printer wireless to my laptop. And I get all the way to where it asks me for the access point, but it always fails to connect to the printer. I went back to the store, and the guy told me I had to connect both the printer and laptop to the router, STILL IT DOESN’T WORK. WHATS WRONG?
The software from Canon should do it for you easily. It might be that you have a firewall on your workstation which does not prompt you for allowing a network access. First try the Canon software with your firewall disabled. It is true that both your workstation and your printer should connect within the same network, managed by your router. It might also be that your router has been set up with high security allowing only certain clients. Maybe you should call in a specialist to set it up for you.
